Letter from Rose

In 1988, Pauline corresponded with Rose in Tashkent and shared at least one letter from Rose with the family in the U.S. I wrote to Rose as well. I share with you here some of the letter I wrote to Rose in October, 1988:

<Dear Aunt and Cousins, I write to you bringing greetings and news from the Bogage family across the seas. As the grand-daughter of Lazer, I remember very well how excited and happy he was to receive letters from you.>

Marc Brodsky with Lilli and Leonid, 1992

In a May, 1992 letter to Carol Wolff (which she forwarded to her cousins in the U.S.), Marc (Mayor) wrote of the family's plan to go to Israel. Their life in Uzbekistan, he wrote, "is very routine. I work as an engineer in the field of gas-use in homes and industry. Lilli [his wife] is a teacher of English. [Their son] Leonid works at the plant. [Their son] Felix is a student at the technical university."
